Seit 2007 findet jährlich am dritten Samstag im April findet der RECORD STORE DAY statt. In Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz nehmen seit 2014 knapp 200 unabhängige Plattenläden teil. Dazu zählen auch Instore-Gigs, Parties und abendliche Clubevents. Dieses Jahr fällt der RECORD STORE DAY auf den 16. April.
